From over 200 initial applications, only 12 have been successful across the entire country and our bid was approved in full. Over the next 5 years we will be working in partnership with a range of organisations to deliver a project focussing on local food production and local energy supply in response to climate change.
Our main focus is on local food and local energy. We hope to build on existing green energy production initiatives, encouraging their expansion. Local food and energy should be more affordable, bringing economic as well as environmental benefits to local residents. Our bid concentrated on the simple steps people can take to make a big change, not only to their community but to their finances.
Our partners include:
- Liverpool Vision
- Liverpool Food Alliance
- Dingle Multi-Agency Centre (DMAC)
- L8 Super Store
- The UK Associaton of Rights and Humanity
