Energy Saving Tips for the Home

  • Keep lids on pans as much as you can to reduce heat loss- turn the heat down when it reaches the boil.
  • Cooking big batches of food is energy efficient.
  • Draw curtains at night to keep the heat in for when you go to bed.
  • Get into the habit of keeping doors closed.
  • Use a hot water bottle to warm the bed, rather than an electric blanket
