Last Wednesday St Bede's hosted a free shop as part of the Leave Liverpool Tidy project.
Leave Liverpool Tidy has come about to try and encourage the student population of Liverpool to be more mindful of the waste they leave behind when moving out of their accommodation at the end term.
The project was created by the Green Guild of the University of Liverpool and is backed by Liverpool City Council, together they encourage students to donate their unwanted house hold items.
They then give these items away for people to reuse instead of them being thrown away!
One of our volunteers went down to see what she could find for a family member moving into their new home.
They didn't do too badly and came away with bed sheets, a kettle and other kitchen appliances as well as a T.V. stand.
She wasn't the only one, with lots of families in the area coming down to take advantage of the things on offer.
