Lodge Lane Daffodils
When gardening, it's always important to be thinking about the coming seasons, as the plants you're tending to now are probably not going to be suited to the months ahead. That's why, even before winter has even kicked in, we're thinking about how we can bring a little spring colour to Lodge Lane. We've decided on the old favourite, Daffodils!
Daffodils are part of the genus Narcissus (named after the hunter in Greek mythology who thought a lot of himself, and therefore gave us the word 'narcissist'!) and are planted as bulbs as opposed to seeds. After a careful weeding, they've been buried snug in the planters on the corner of Grierson Street and Lodge Lane, waiting for the spring sun to warm them up. At that point they'll emerge in a burst of dazzling gold!
