On 8th of February and 15th of February we organised on GTDT a training course about motivational interviewing. This training course was part of “Raising Educational Aspiration Project” for the Roma families in partnership with John Moores University.
We choose 10 Roma champions to participate. The role of the champion is to sustain, build and develop the aspiration and resilience to enable young Roma people and adults to consider education and employability options. The champions will sustain the impetus after the completion of the project using community engagement and motivational interviewing techniques (change). The network will include the neighbourhood, employer, educational establishment, family, friends etc.
