Yesterday we held our first cooking session with the amazing Erroll from De Hungry Must Be Fed.
On the menu was rice and peas and a side of plantain. These sessions are to follow on from the holiday hunger campaign that we have been holding in the Riverside ward with our satellite centre Riverview Development Trust.
We where all a little sceptical at first of how the young children would react to the flavor of this food, but what a hit it turned out to be, all the children tried the yummy food and some even came back for seconds. the lovely Summer , one of the young girls at the centre even volunteered to help Erroll out in the kitchen and has asked if she can help him next week.
Next week we will be cooking corn and banana bread so stay posted.
