On Monday 21st October 2019, GTDT held its Get Ready for Winter community clothes rail event. The turnout was amazing and GTDT helped around 140 individuals with warm clothing, coats and shoes.
There was hot Pumpkin soup on offer, which went down a treat and many of the service users loved it that much they asked for the recipe to make their own Pumpkin soup at home.
BGET Warm Homes also attended the event to offer advice and advocacy with household energy across Merseyside, giving valuable information on fuel bills, water bills and energy efficiency.
BGET can be reached on 0151 637 3679 for any related enquiries.
GTDT's Community Clothes Rail events aim is to provide warm clothing to families and individuals that may need extra support, this also includes help with school uniforms and interview clothing.
GTDT would like to thank all the staff and volunteers that helped make this event possible, and also for the kind donations we receive from the public.
