World Vegetarian Day is the 1st October and was founded in 1977 by the North American Vegetarian society.
This day is celebrated by thousands of people enjoying vegetarian food and some use this day to make a move to a more healthier lifestyle with healthier diets.
Here at GTDT we have been running an online 6 week vegetarian slow cooker course which gives learners a free slow cooker, a chance to learn new culinary skills as well as receiving a free bag of veg each week.
