Celebrating International Women's Day

International Women's Day, celebrated on March 8, aims to focus global attention on the state of women when it comes to gender equality, bias, stereotypes and discrimination. Its goal is to make the world more diverse, equitable and inclusive for women.

We are proud that our Chief Executive, Lindsey Guy, is one of the 8% of women that are CEOs in the UK.

Lindsey has spent her entire career working in the education sector where she has held a number of senior positions, including spending several years as Director of External Funding at one of the UK's largest FE colleges. She later joined a Merseyside-based management consultancy where she managed its range of education and learning programmes. Lindsey joined GTDT, first as a Director in 1998 and then as CEO, and as a Trust we have gone from strength to strength under her leadership.

The theme for International Women’s Day 2022 is #BreakTheBias
Imagine a gender equal world.
A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination.
A world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive.
A world where difference is valued and celebrated.
Together we can forge women's equality.
Collectively we can all #BreakTheBias.
