To register your interest in our Community Learning courses, you can do so by clicking here. We are currently taking registrations for courses starting in April 2021 (after Easter).
All of our courses are FREE of charge, but to register you do need to be:
- over 19 years of age,
- unemployed, retired or economically inactive
- living within Liverpool City Council boundaries (so have a purple wheelie bin)
- and have a National Insurance number
Basic Bread Making - a 6 week basic bread making course that looks at how to make simple and tasty loaves. You will be given a FREE bread maker and starter kit along with suggested recipes and a resource booklet. This is a six week course, delivered using a variety of online platforms.
Supporting Mental Health & Wellbeing - we are developing a
Get into Construction - get an accredited Level 1 Award in Health & Safety within a Construction Environment and use this towards your CSCS card. This is a new course and we anticipate delivery of 3 days a week over 2 weeks to allow learners to quickly achieve the qualification and move towards full CSCS accreditation. Whilst we are currently still subject to lockdown restrictions and are planning this course via online delivery platforms, this course may be delivered after 12 April, which may allow for face-to-face delivery.
Slow Cooking - a slow cooker course that looks at the health and monetary benefits of using a slow cooker. You will be given a FREE slow cooker and also twice a week for 3 weeks a bag of veg linked to a recipe for you to try. This is a three week fast-track course can be delivered using a variety of platforms - online or mobile phone, you will need to tell us which is your preferred delivery method when you register.
We also have a range of other courses available including Roma History, Basic Arabic and are developing courses such as Local History (Walks & Talks).
